According to SafeWise’s 12th annual Safest Cities in New York report, Yorktown has been named the #8 safest community in the state for 2026. This recognition comes at a critical time for New York, as the latest data reveals a challenging landscape for public safety statewide.

No kitchen trash or recycling collections on Monday, February 16th - Presidents' Day. Monday collections will be picked up on Tuesday, February 17th Tuesday collections will be picked up on Wednesday, February 18th All other collections will remain the same.
