Alliance for Safe Kids Virtual #WalkTheTalk

Virtual #WalkTheTalk

The Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) is excited to be hosting their inaugural fundraiser walk, Virtual #WalkTheTalk, which is designed to extend resource awareness and help provide financial sustainability for ASK due to the expiration of federal grant funding. Virtual #WalkTheTalk will take place throughout the entire month of October, allowing walkers to walk when they want, where they want. While the WALK component of the event is up to you, ASK has brought together some of the best professionals in the area to provide the TALK aspect of #WalkTheTalk. The month of October will consist of weekly webinars focusing on topics such as: Emotional Wellness, Mental Health Awareness, Thoughtful Service, and Substance Abuse Prevention. Along with the weekly webinars, ASK Talks will be shared via social media which will consist of short stories and presentations focusing on the aforementioned topics and more.

ASK plans to engage walkers through social media challenges, a volunteer-curated Spotify playlist that can be listened to while walking, and even small pop-up walks at walking destinations around town. Click here for a calendar of all of the events that are a part of #WalkTheTalk.
