The professional planners provide service in the following major areas of activity: long range planning & special studies; current planning and land development. The professional planner coordinates the processing of proposals between all involved agencies and prepares reviews and recommendations for the Planning Board, Town Board and Zoning Board actions. The planners also may plan and direct construction of certain public projects such as sidewalks, streetscape beautification, and bike/pedestrian trails.
