2022 Snowman Contest

Need a cure for those winter blues?  We've got one!

The 2022 Snowman Contest is on!  Beginning on Saturday, January 29th:

• BUILD YOUR BEST SNOWMAN  (OR SNOWWOMAN, SNOW ANIMAL, ETC)
• POST A PHOTO OF YOUR CREATION ALONG WITH IT’S TITLE, YOUR FAMILY NAME, AND THE HASHTAG #YORKTOWNSNOWMANCONTEST2022
• BE ENTERED TO WIN A PRIZE!

HOW TO ENTER:

· Contest will be held between Saturday, January 29th - Monday, January 31st.  Entries are only valid during the designated snowfall.  No entries may be submitted outside of the contest period. 

· After completing your snow creation, post your photo on our Facebook using the hashtag #YorktownSnowmanContest2022.  You can also send your photo in a direct message to us on our Facebook Page  

Be sure to include the sculptor's name(s) and the title of your creation so we can give you proper credit!

· Photos may be included on our website or social media pages, in our brochure, or in local news publications.                  (Have your family strike a pose next to your snow creation… it’s your chance to be (sort of) famous!)

· After submission, a Recreation Department judge may contact you to get a closer look at your creation.  Winners will be posted on our Facebook page at the completion of the contest period.

CONTEST RULES:

· EACH FAMILY MAY SUBMIT ONLY ONE ENTRY

· YOUR SNOW CREATION MUST BE BUILT AT YOUR OWN RESIDENCE

· ALL SNOW CREATIONS MUST BE FREESTANDING

· FEEL FREE TO USE AS MANY PROPS, COSTUMES, & ACCESSORIES AS YOU WOULD LIKE

· WINNERS WILL BE JUDGED ON CREATIVITY (HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!)
