IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM YORKTOWN SUPERVISOR TOM DIANA

I am pleased to report that I have been able to arrange for 5 ADDITI0NAL TRUCKS TO COME TO YORKTOWN TO ASSURE THURSDAY & FRIDAY GARBAGE & RECYCLING PICKUPS ARE MADE.

Two private carters who recognized the seriousness of the situation have agreed to provide the additional trucks and crews after the town’s contractor had five of its trucks repossessed Monday night.

Their willingness to assist our community will enable all pickups to be made thereby averting a potential health emergency as we enter the long holiday weekend.

I am personally committed to working non-stop to bring a long-term solution to the issues created by the performance failures of our current contractor. I appreciate the ongoing patience and understanding of our residents.
