HYDRANT FLUSHING NOTICE - APRIL 1, 2024 TO MAY 3, 2024

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District will be flushing fire hydrants in parts of Sections 1, 2 & 4 beginning Monday, April 1, 2024 through Friday, May 3, 2024 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you do not know what section you are in, you can look up your street by going to the following link: https://www.yorktownny.org/refuserecycling/find-my-section .  To view a daily list of the streets being flushed please visit us online at https://www.yorktownny.org/water

Please be advised that flushing may cause some discoloration of water. This does not represent a health hazard. However, customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets until it clears.

The Water District regrets any temporary inconvenience you may experience however, the flushing program is necessary to maintain a good water supply for both firefighting and domestic consumption. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
