Swimming Facility Schedule & Hours

WELCOME TO THE 2025 POOL & BEACH SEASON!

The Brian J Slavin Aquatic Facility, Junior Lake Pool, and Sparkle Lake Beach will be open this summer!

Those who use the facilities this season must have a 2025 Pool Pass, which can be purchased on Community Pass or in the Recreation Office beginning in May.

PLEASE NOTE:   All passholders must present a valid ID Card when visiting our facilities.  If you received a card between the years of 2021 - 2024 your card will be re-activated after you renew your Pool Pass online; there is no need to visit our office. 

If you do not have a membership card from 2021 - 2024, you will need to visit the Recreation Department office this season to receive a NEW PHOTO ID CARD.  Please purchase your pool pass online in advance, then visit us with proof of residency to have your photo taken and get your new card!  For your convenience, our ID Office (located at 1974 Commerce Street, Room 122) will be open Weekdays (May 5th-Sept 1st) from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings (May 13th-June 25th) from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM, and Saturdays (May 10th-June 28th) from 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM.

ID Cards from any season prior to 2021 are no longer valid.

Junior Lake Pool

Saturday, May 24th - Sunday, August 17th

Weekends & Holidays: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM 

Weekdays (May 27th-June 6th): CLOSED

Weekdays (June 9th-27th): 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Weekdays (June 30th-August 15th): 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM

 

Sparkle Lake Beach

Saturday, June 14th - Sunday, August 3rd

Daily: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

 

SENIOR SWIM: 

Open swim for all resident seniors. Membership required. Must present pool pass at the gate for entry. No guests allowed for senior swim hours. 

Brian J Slavin Facility:

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7/1 to 8/14, 10:30-12:00pm

 

Junior Lake Facility:

Mon, Wed, Fri: 8/4 to 8/15, 10:00am-12:00pm

 

SWIM TEAM MEETS: 

Select facilities at the Brian J Slavin Aquatic Facility will be closed during the following dates and times for the Yorktown Swim and Dive Team home meets

POOL FACILITY RULES:

  • Yorktown Pool facilities offer Yorktown residents and Non-residents memberships.
  • All patrons must show a valid pool membership pass.
  • All persons leaving the pool facility must show a pass or ticket to reenter.
  • A maximum of two (2) guests allowed per pass holder. Family Passholders have a maximum of four (4) guests per visit.
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No swimming unless a lifeguard is on duty.
  • Never swim alone.
  • Do not distract lifeguards.
  • Obey all instructions of pool personnel.
  • Proper swim attire required in the pools.
  • Ladders are for entering and leaving the pool only.
  • In an emergency: An Emergency Phone to call 911 is available outside the Guard House.
  • All pool users must shower before entering the pool.
  • Children who are not toilet trained must wear rubber pants over diapers or swim diapers
  • Wade pools are for children ages 6 and under and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Brian J. Slavin Aquatic Facility Interactive Pool
    • No running or jumping on, or around the water play unit.
    • Children using the interactive pool must be at least 41” tall or be accompanied by a parent/guardian while within the interactive pool area.
    • No climbing on pipes or handrails.
    • No hanging or climbing on pull ropes.
  • Junior Lake Slide Pool
    • Children using the slide must be at least 41” tall or be accompanied by a parent/guardian while using the slide pool. A parent/guardian must be within arm’s reach.
    • Only one person on the slide at a time.
  • Only US Coast Guard approved Type III lifesaving devices are allowed at our Town swim facilities.  All other flotation devices are swim aides and not permissible.  Although US Coast Guard approved Type III devices are allowable, this does not replace the role of parental supervision.  All parents must directly supervise their child in and around the water.  

NOT PERMITTED

  • Masks, fins, snorkels or other similar devices.
  • Artificial means of support ie: floats, inflatable tubes, jackets, etc. Exception: US Coast Guard approved Type III flotation device.
  • Running on the decks and walks.
  • Hanging on swim lane dividers and ropes.
  • Swimming during a storm.
  • Swimming with infections, open wounds or sores.
  • Smoking, food, drinks in the pool area.
  • Pets in the pool area except guide dogs.
  • Horseplay of any kind including any conduct infringing on the welfare of others.
