Rest In Peace Lieutenant Kenneth Sgroi

It is with profound sadness, pain and hurt that the Yorktown Police Department shares the loss of their brother, Lieutenant Kenneth Sgroi. Kenny took ill very suddenly in the last 48 hours. He fought valiantly and hard, but succumbed to his illness last night, January 2, 2023 at approximately 8 pm. Kenny was an outstanding police officer. An even better man.

Lieutenant Sgroi was a part of the Yorktown family and our prayers of support go out to his wife, children, and extended family during this very difficult time. We thank the Yorktown community in advance for your patience, understanding and support in the days, weeks and months that will follow. The Yorktown Police Department will continue to serve in the most professional manner. It is what Lieutenant Sgroi would have expected.
