Foothill St. Area: Discolored Water

Residents may experience discolored or cloudy (air) water due to firefighting activity near the Putnam Valley High School.

The fire department is using hydrants at the PV High School. The school is supplied water from Yorktown through a connection to our Foothill St. water main.

The discoloration is not a health issue. When the firefighting activity is over, the water in the main will settle out.
