NWJWW - Amawalk Filter Treatment Plant Back Online Temporarily

The Northern Westchester Joint Water Works (NWJWW) has temporarily put the Amawalk Filter Treatment Plant (one of two FTPs delivering water to Yorktown) back online. The plant may remain in operation for approximately two weeks. The NWJWW is waiting on needed information from NYCDEP. When the NYCDEP confirms that storage/flow conditions are favorable for a shutdown, the Amawalk FTP will once again come offline.

The plant is scheduled to be off for an extended period of time for repairs/improvements. The entire Yorktown Water District will be receiving it's water from the NWJWW's Catskill Aqueduct FTP.

The Amawalk FTP may be brought online on occasion due to Catskill Aqueduct flow changes initiated by the NYCDEP. Any change in FTP status will be posted here.
