Thursday Night 11/14/24 - Mercer Ct. & Mercer Rd. Water Main Break

YWD staff have repaired a second water main break on Mercer Ct. This is separate from the water main break on Wednesday night (11/13/24). 

DO NOT USE WATER ADVISORY ISSUED November 14, 2024

A do not use water advisory has been issued by the Westchester County Department of Health as a precautionary measure related to a water main break for a limited number of residents in the Town of Yorktown served by Yorktown Water District. The advisory will remain in effect at least through Friday, November 15, 2024 and until further notice and affects the following residences:
Mercer Court # 2592, 2595, 2598, 2603, 2611, 2612
Mercer Road # 713, 714, 719, 720, 725, 726, 732, 738

A do not use water advisory means that residents are strongly advised not to use tap water. This includes but not limited to drinking, using it to prepare food, washing dishes by hand or with a dishwasher, brushing teeth, bathing, and washing clothes or flushing of toilets.

We are awaiting sampling results before the notice can be rescinded. 

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. YWD staff have been working since Wednesday evening non-stop & will continue to do so until water service is fully restored to the residents of Mercer Ct. & Mercer Rd.
