The Capa Space 'When They Served' Call for Photos
When They Served - Photographs from Veterans.
As a part of The Capa Space programming for the ‘This is Robert Capa!’ exhibition they invite those who served in the military to contribute to a participatory project by sharing photographs taken during the time in which they served. A panel including Marie T. Keller, the curator of ‘THIS IS ROBERT CAPA!’ will curate the submitted photographs and create a slideshow to be presented at the exhibition space. The public will be invited to view the slideshow and encouraged to share their thoughts. So, search your photo albums, phone, boxes of photos etc. and send in your submissions. Please include the location of the photograph, approx year taken, and any other pertinent information.
Visit The Capa Space website for the link to upload your photos to be included in this slideshow before July 15.
The Capa Space is an education and exhibition center created to foster and advance the belief that the community can use photography to advance concepts of peace, equality and justice. The Capa Space is dedicated to continuing the legacy of Robert and Cornell Capa’s work as “concerned” photographers. The Capa Space is a place where people gather to create, view and learn about photography. They aim to inspire visitors to participate in the creative process by illustrating the power of photography as a catalyst for social action.
Visit the current exhibition 'This is Robert Capa' through October 8, 2023.
