The Supervisor of the Town of Yorktown, as Chief Executive and Chief Fiscal Officer, under New York State Town Law section 106, prepares a Tentative Budget, under the modified accrual basis, to be submitted to the Town Board and public for its review and comment by October 30 of each fiscal year. The Town Board will meet with various department heads on November 8 & 9 to discuss the tentative budget. The Board will adopt a Preliminary budget on or about November 9, 2023 for general public comment at a Public Hearing on December 5, 2023. Based on public comment, the Town Board will determine what, if any, revisions are appropriate. The Town Board must adopt the final budget no later than December 22, 2023.
