| Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson/Yorktown Yorktown Girl Scouts is part of the Girl Scout Heart of the Hudson Council which covers the seven counties of the Hudson River Valley. There are 83 troops in Yorktown ranging from Daisy (Kindergarten through 2nd grade), Brownies (3rd grade through 4th grade), Juniors (5th grade through 6th grade), Cadettes (7th grade through 8th grade), Seniors (9th and 10th grade) and Ambassadors (11th and 12th grade). Also "Juliettes", who are girls who work the program independently. Juliettes receive the full resources of the community and are well supported with programming, activities and trip opportunities. |

| My Brother Vinny My Brother Vinny is a NYS 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that organizes the distribution of furniture, housewares, food, and clothing to U.S. Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in Westchester County/vicinities. They run an annual My Brother Vinny Walk and help local animal shelters and rescue groups in the aid and support of animal welfare. | United for the Troops UnitedForTheTroops.org was created by friends & family of our troops serving the U.S. overseas. Our sole purpose is to make life while deployed a little better for our brave men & women serving in the US military by collecting food, toiletries and goods that the military does not provide them. Some of the items include cookies, snacks, t-shirts and other food items.Through speaking with the troops, even though the military provides them with the essentials for day to day life, may of them miss the extra amenities that they receive while at home. Our goal is to show them that we are proud of them and appreciate all of their efforts while they're deployed. |
