Yorktown Grange Fair Celebrates Centennial Anniversary Sept 6-8

August 29, 2024 – The Yorktown Grange Fair will celebrate its centennial anniversary on September 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Members of the Yorktown Grange will mark a century of bringing the neighbors together in celebration of local farmers, artisans, and cherished traditions during the fair’s official opening on September 6 at 4:15 p.m. Since its inception in 1924, the Grange Fair has been a cornerstone of community life, creating countless memories and honoring the region's agricultural heritage.

"We are thrilled to celebrate this momentous milestone with the community that has supported us for 100 years," said Fair Chairperson AnnMarie Sasso. "The Yorktown Grange Fair has always been about family, tradition, and bringing people together, and we can't wait to continue that tradition with our Centennial Celebration."

The Yorktown Grange Fairgrounds will host an array of attractions, including spectacular livestock exhibits, art shows, rides, and food. Live music performances include The Knuckleheads, Annie & the Natural Wonder Band and the Whiskey’s Edge Band.

“On behalf of the Town of Yorktown, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Yorktown Grange Fair on its 100th anniversary. For a century, this fair has been a cornerstone of our community, bringing together families and friends to honor our rich agricultural heritage and the hardworking farmers and artisans who make Yorktown so special,” said Supervisor Ed Lachterman.
