Yorktown Teen Center’s Friday Nights Resume
October 22, 2024 - The popular Friday night teen program is back for the 2024-25 school year.
The Yorktown Teen Center’s program at the Albert A. Capellini Community & Cultural Center runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and it offers a safe and fun space for local teens to gather in a supervised environment.
For a $10 entry fee, teens will have access to a variety of activities, including open gym time for basketball and other games. The lounge area provides snacks, a slice of pizza, and bottled water, with additional pizza slices and Gatorade available for $1 each. Other activities in the lounge include a pool table, Xbox, and computers.
“The Yorktown Teen Center gives older teens a place to gather safely on a Friday night,” said Supervisor Ed Lachterman. “It’s important that they have a space where they can socialize in a way that benefits our community.”
Located at 1974 Commerce Street in Yorktown Heights, the community center continues to be a vital resource for teens, giving them a place to relax, stay active, and enjoy time with their peers.
