Yorktown Welcomes the Return of Miraggio Mediterranean Restaurant

April 24, 2025 – Miraggio Mediterranean Restaurant celebrated its grand opening on Monday in a fully renovated venue.

The 300-seat restaurant first opened in Yorktown Heights in 1992 at 90 Triangle Center and then closed in 2018. Although the interior is transformed, the family-style menu has the same focus on northern Italian dishes with new Mediterranean elements.

“It’s a distinct privilege and honor to welcome you back to Yorktown. We’ve been customers here many, many years and it was always a place where memories were made. We met some lifelong friends here. For my wife and I, you are a great place, and we always had a great time,” said Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman during a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Par Shakiban, a longtime Westchester restaurateur with businesses throughout Westchester County, owns Miraggio. Shakiban’s restaurants include Patisserie Salzburg in Rye and Medi-Bistro in White Plains.

Miraggio is in the two-level Triangle Shopping Center, which is undergoing a multimillion-dollar overhaul including a new façade, parking lot, lighting and landscaping. Triangle’s anchor store is Acme Supermarket, and other tenants include Bank of America, Anytime Fitness and Goldfish Swim School.

“We are thrilled to welcome Miraggio to Triangle Shopping Center. The owner is a seasoned restaurateur who has owned and operated several restaurants in the greater New York market over his 40-year career,” said Jeff Kintzer, Principal of Royal Properties, which handles leasing at Triangle Shopping Center. “We currently have several deals pending which we hope to announce in the near future.”

Triangle is the latest shopping center in Yorktown to experience a revival after the renaissance of the Yorktown Green shopping center with the arrival of T.J. Maxx, Five Below and Michaels.
