Councilwoman Susan Siegel

A 54 year Yorktown resident, Susan Siegel has been a long time observer and participant in town affairs as a former supervisor (2010-2011), councilwoman (2015),  newspaper reporter and columnist, regular attendee at Town Board and Planning Board meetings, and advocate on a wide variety of community issues. Her involvement in town government began in 1970 when she joined the Yorktown League of Women Voters and over the next ten years served as chairman of its town government committee and president.

Susan’s overriding goal as councilwoman is to maximize openness and transparency in all aspects of Yorktown’s town government, the level of government that is closest to its residents and whose decisions impact their daily qualify of life.
