Susan Siegel joins Yorktown Town Board

August 8, 2024 – Susan Siegel took the oath of office on Wednesday to fill a vacancy on the Town Board.

Siegel—a Democrat, former Yorktown supervisor and councilwoman—won a July 23 special election to fill a Town Board vacancy precipitated by the sudden death of Supervisor Tom Diana in January. She will serve through December 31, 2027.

“I’m looking forward to putting my knowledge and experience to work on behalf of Yorktown’s residents. My overriding goal will be to maximize openness and transparency across all aspects of Yorktown’s town government,” said Siegel.

Siegel is expected to take her seat on the Town Board at its regular meeting scheduled for Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. In addition to serving as Town supervisor from 2010 to 2011 and councilwoman in 2015, Siegel has been a regular attendee at Town Board and Planning Board meetings since 2012.
